CARPE DIEM CAN INCREASE YOUR BRAIN VOLUME

Sometimes even if it is easier to say "No" we should take a chance and say "Yes". Having new experiences, learning something new and even trying a different food can have a positive effect on your cognition.


My better half & other half of Emptynestersfinally (my other persona) was given the opportunity to be a Balloon Handler in the Macy's 2024 Thanksgiving Parade. This year was a particularly rough health year for him and he wanted to prove to himself that he was strong enough (mentally and physically) to be a Balloon Handler.

Don't do something dangerous but if the opportunity presents itself, take a risk and push the boundaries of your comfort zone. Contrary to popular belief, brain volume does not have to decrease with age. Neuroplasticity refers to our brain's ability to change and get stronger through new experiences - physically, mentally and spiritually. Neuroplasticity can also help boost brain health and protect against cognitive decline as we age gracefully through life.
